Tanzania Car Shipping

Shipping to Tanzania requires around 4-5 business working days to get the notice of shipment date. Transit time to dar-es-salaam also depends on the actual route taken during shipment to Tanzania. We prefer a 3 business-day window to fix the pick-up / delivery date of your car if we are to extend this service to you.

The transit time to Tanzania may sometimes be less than that estimated. It also depends on when your car was loaded to ship. E.g. if your car e was loaded first, then it will be unloaded last and there is a possibility of delay in delivery and vice versa. Take these things into consideration while planning the transport of your vehicle.

After placing the order, your shipping to Tanzania will be scheduled as per the dates advised. Once the truck is assigned, the truck driver will call you to schedule a pick-up/delivery time and day. During the pick-up, a detailed inspection of the car is done where the condition is noted on the bill of lading that you need to sign and acknowledge. The same inspection will be again performed at the time of delivery so that you can check for damages, if any.

Please note that customer must be at the port of Dar-es-salaam, Tanzania during importation to go through Tanzania customs where applicable.

It is a must to pay import duty for importing cars to Tanzania where applicable and duty charges will vary depending on the year of registration. While shipping a car to Tanzania, one can avail of the “duty free” option on an imported car if its an old car and valid documents are shown with respect to this aspect. The customs duty varies in amount depending on the age of the shipped car.
